Airshare (formerly Executive AirShare) scores ARGUS Platinum rating and IS-BAO Stage 2 renewal for customer safety, Private Jet Card Comparisons

LENEXA, Kan. – Airshare delivers again on its commitment to customer safety by securing certification from leading third-party organizations. Today, the fractional, charter and management aircraft provider announces that ARGUS International has awarded EAS and its subsidiary Executive Flight Services its Platinum rating, the highest offered for customer safety. The Internal Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) also renewed its Stage 2 certification.

“These certifications recognize our dedication to our aircraft owners and passengers,” says Jeremy Wright, Airshare director of safety. “They are the product of years of hard work conducted by members of our maintenance, flight operations, and safety teams. Our customers should have confidence that our safety culture leads us to continuously redefine excellence.”

In upgrading EAS from a Gold to a Platinum rating, ARGUS looked closely at the company’s charter operations. Platinum ratings are only awarded to experienced operators who have previously met the criteria for Gold and completed an on-site safety audit. Platinum rating requires a Safety Management System (SMS); a clear, workable and tested emergency response plan; documented policies and procedures; and training records for all aspects of flight operations, maintenance and safety.

IS-BAO Stage 2 certification, reviewed biennially, audits all Airshare operations, including accounting, marketing, AirCare, flight control, maintenance, flight operations, SMS and emergency planning. To receive another certification after first being awarded Stage 2 in 2016, EAS revised manuals and procedures to ensure compliance with the most current best practices. The EAS certification was extended at the International Business Aviation Council’s option to 3 years, following for the comprehensive and robust commitment to safety witnessed by the auditors.

SMS is the internationally accepted framework for aviation safety and is required by regulation for airlines but optional in business aviation. The systems incorporate hazard identification and safety risk management to reduce risk to an acceptable level. IS-BAO standards ensure safety risks are being effectively managed. Audits verify standards and recommended practices are established, utilized and effective.

“Shareowners don’t always see what happens behind the scenes in delivering them safely to and from their homes,” says John Owen, Airshare president, and CEO. “We don’t take any aspect of that for granted. We’re honored to have two internationally recognized organizations endorse our team’s efforts.”
